The head turns the cable cam into a full turn key system - gimbal, camera, lens, wireless transmitter - all built into a neat package. The goal was to make an option that simplified the process and eliminated calibration and balancing of gimbals, lens servos, etc, and brought all the cable cam control into the Defy Ecosystem.
